The End Justifying the Means?

I wonder who is the stupid one? I guess some still believe that in all things, the end will justify the means to which the end would eventuate. We have a clear example, staring at us, everyday.

1. Keep the people silent, because we value peace.
2. Freedom of press is allowed, just put up some hostage money.
3. Diversity is welcomed, therefore foreign talents preferred embraced.
