CHRISTMAS 2008

Merry Christmas Bams.
This holiday greeting is only for you because I believe you are the only one who read this blog anyway.
Had the traditional lunch. It was good.
I am intoxicated with tryptophan.
The most memorable thing would be moments before my departure from the house of the host: My mini nephew and niece tried to give me a hug but did not know where to start. To them, their uncle is like a big oak tree, their tiny arms can hardly wrap around my thighs, let alone my upper torso. In the end, I gave them a bear hug before they ran back to mommy.
Funny the two. They are growing so fast.

TARGET SET- WEEK 21

STATUS
Weight: 100Kg
CP % for Week 20: 75%
Workout Hours: 6 hours out of the targeted 7 hours.

Reflection: These 2 week have been rather trying. There have been (and going to be) many big dinners. 4 dinners - big ones - in 2 weeks. 2 down 2 to go. I must admit I overate a little for the first 2. Not till the point where I feel so very bloated but I did carry on eating beyond the point when I felt no hunger. I guess that is the trouble with me in buffets, I find it so hard to stop. No self control. The next (last) 2 meals is also buffets. I have to exercise some restraint. I would not want all my effort to go to waste.

Work has been crazy. I find I have little time to exercise. On most working days, I get to reach the gym approximately 3 hours before they close so I can get a good 90 min work out. But these days I get to the gym 2 hours before they close and I only do an hour of exercise, perhaps 70 minutes sometimes. I do not want to do too much, else I will find it very hard to rest. later that night. My mind will be wide awake.

Nevertheless, I will retain the target of 7 hours for week 21. I do foresee that all this exercise is really for me to maintain my current weight. With all the good food I will be eating, it would be an up-hill task to see an drop in weight.

Birthday Gift 2008

I got this gift from my parents. It is made of Ivory. I think it is very nicely carved.
I also think my dad is buying stuff for himself !!!
I know that mum thinks very little of ivory and does not like it when my dad buys them for himself. It is a waste of money in her opinion.
However, she won't protest one bit if the ivory was purchased for me.
Nevertheless, I like it. I think it is a nice piece of art.
I wonder if this would continue? I got one piece each year for 3 years now.
Gee... I wonder what I would be getting in 2009?

The Best Laid Plans

It all started with my mum. She was the aggrevator... All I did was put on my new polo T and prepared to leave for service. She innocently came beside me, touched the cloth and commented how it was of a good quality, and for no apparent reason.... rubbed my tummy and asked "Oh?? What is this over here?"
-----
She is mean mean mean.
-----
So I decided to pull a prank on her. I had not decided what to do when well... it is not far fetched to say the prank came to me instead. I was walking about in a shopping mall when I came across this >>>
This is a toy. It is a very realistic remake of a bun. It looks real and feels real too. By now my mind was working overtime to hatch an evil plan. I am going to trick my mum!
This is an opporunity for a super prank. Oh man... I am salivating from the very thought of this evil deed. And this fake bun cost a measley $6 i think. Such a cheap prank.
I am putting the bun into a realistic freezer bag to make it more believable.
The Lure is ready.
The stage is set. I casually walked to the kitchen and placed the "lure" on the microwave. The microwave is where the family would usually place perishable food like cakes, bread, etc...
----
I waited and waited.
Bam! Mum got tricked. I stopped her just as she was putting the bread into her mouth.
That'll teach her to poke my tummy again!
----
The BONUS: I put the bread back into place.
I waited and waited again,
BAM! Dad got tricked too.
I stopped him when he tried to bite it as well.
hehe... i am so proud of myself
----
I put the bread back into position again.
I wanted to trick my sister too.
But alas I waited till late, but she still has not come home.
I got tired and went to bed.
----
SUPER BONUS:
I got spanked in the morning.
Turns out she was pretty hungry that night.
And yes. She took a bite.
I was literally too tired to stop her.
I would have. wink* wink*
And here is my pride and joy. My sister's bite marks.
All in a day's work for the reincarnation of loki.

TARGET SET- WEEK 20

STATUS
Weight: 100Kg
CP % for Week 19: 75%
Workout Hours: 5 hours out of the targeted 7 hours.

Reflection: I think of how much I have to lose and how much time I have left. I do not have much faith in the target outcome, neither do I want to deviate from my original target. The best I can hope for is just to be persistent with the weekly commitments, cross my fingers and hope that I lose as much excess weight as possible.

I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. Another occasion I have to guard against over eating. Watch the calories. Watch the intake. Watch what you put in your mouth. Sometimes, I truly feel this whole training program is harder for me, especially since I am such a foodie. So much so that I sometimes wonder why there are only 24 hours in a day, had God compressed more in a given day, perhaps there will be more time for more meals. YAY!

I bought a pack of nuts. Mixed cocktail nuts - Macadamias, Cashews, Almonds and Peanuts. I would have small portions (approx 12 nuts, yes I do count) between meals. I wonder if that is unhealthy? Nuts have such a bad reputation, but from my readings, they seem to be rather good, but all the articles also stress that too much of a good thing is bad. This is true for most things I guess. Nothing noteworthy. We all knew that already.

So anyways. Week 20. Let's go.

TARGET SET- WEEK 19

STATUS
Weight: 100Kg
CP % for Week 18: 65%
Reflection: I am quite glad that I still weigh the same. I was expecting the worse seeing that I lost it earlier this week and went on a binge. I must say I did not BINGE BINGE, it was more of an episode where I just ate things that I was not supposed to. I only managed to get in about 6 hours of exercise this week - I'll have to try a little harder to meet the set target.
---
Reminder: FD, you have until week 24 (5 weeks away) to lose 5Kg. Don't you remember? The plan was to obtain a weight of 95Kg in a span of 3 months. Easy enough to remember. 5 more weeks, 5 more kilograms to lose. Try and Try and then Try some more. ALL THE WAY!
